Let's Talk About
WOW What a success!!!! OPB of course
What a good time we had, all fifteen of us. I think and others will agree. We ate more than we were on the phones and you know that is always enjoyable. The OPB membership drive raised a total of $549,765 in all. In our time slot, November 30 approximately 8:00 pm to 9:45, we raised $9,065, with $135.00 in call outs. GOOD JOB.
Your time and effort is well appreciated, Donna Aase, Jane Garbisch, Vickie Wood, Joan Ragan, Joyce Rasmussen, Jane Storey, Barbara Warren Sams, Carolyn Jenkins, Nancy Overpeck, Barbara Jones, Arleta Miller and the only man, and we were so happy to have him on our team, Mike Harrison. If I missed anyone, I'm sorry, and thank you.
Last and certainly not the least, a special thanks to our young ladies Maria Aase, Marissa Calver, Riley Miller, for volunteering their time to OPB membership drive and contributing to our community we loved having them. WAY TO GO LADIES
New outdoors guide web site
The site alltrails.com has recently come on line as a new free outdoor activities sharing site. They are building a database of trails and routes for Hiking, Kayaking, Snowshoeing, some of our favorite activities.
The site is an "information sharing" site, so they are looking for people that will both use and contribute information about trails and routes. Currently there are a lot of hikes listed, but the details are pretty thin. Check it out at alltrails.com.

Silver Falls Hike
What a unexpected lovely day Saturday turned out to be, overcast and not a drop of rain. Nine of us traveled south to Silverton to view all the water rushing over the falls. We counted 12 falls, small trickles to huge gushers as we treked up and down and behind the falls. The cascading water as it trembles in front of you makes you feel as if you were in far off place. To make perfect ending to our day, we were greeted with a warm fire and snacks in this wonderful lodge. Silver Falls a must see as the water is high.
