Events

Week-1

Jan 3 (Wed) Morning Hike – Class A/B

We begin our hike at 9:30 am and hike 4 to 6 miles, for 2 to 4 hours, somewhere in the Portland metropolitan area, often in Forest Park.
Meet at the New Seasons on the corner of NE Williams and NE Fremont. Please arrive ready to depart at 9:30 AM. This will be on pavement 95% time.
Leader: Sue Holmes, 971-212-9540, sueholmes28@yahoo.com

Jan 7 (Sun) Outings Planning Meeting

There is a 2018 Trails Club Outings planning meeting scheduled for January 7th at 3 PM at the home of Susan Green and Gregg Baker.
To have a 2 week Wilderness Outing, it requires 24 committed campers including two weekly leaders and two kitchen goddesses. Other alternatives to consider include a destination outing where we stay at a facility or a car camping outing like we had last year in the North Cascades. Bring your ideas and suggestions for 2018 outings to the meeting and encourage new participants to attend.
Meet: 3 PM, at the home of Susan Green and Gregg Baker
2909 NE 20th Ave
Portland, Oregon.

Week-2

Jan 10 (Wed) Evening Hike – Class A

Hike in the dark and rain! This will be about a 5 mile trek from Lower Macleay Park to the Pittock Mansion and back. We will leave at 5 pm, so please try to arrive a few minutes early. This is a 5 mile hike with about 900 feet of elevation gain. My pace is about 2 to 2.5 miles per hour and I prefer to do this hike without a lot of stops until we get to the summit.
Please RSVP on Meetup https://www.meetup.com/Trails-Club-of-Oregon/events/246616317/
Leader: Jeff Lawton
